  * //"Wiki wiki"// apparently means "quick" or "informal" in Hawai'ian. A wiki is a web application that allows people to work together on the internet.

  * The best known and most useful wiki is a vast, collectively written encyclopedia on the net, the [[http://www.wikipedia.org|Wikipedia]], with more than 1.6 million articles in the English version alone.

  * This particular wiki uses a set of php-scripts called [[wiki:DokuWiki]] -- the link will take you to a page with more information and links to the DokuWiki-website.

  * Editing pages, or just sections, and adding new ones is easy and does not require any familiarity with programming, as you can see from the [[wiki:HowTo]] -- if you click on the "Show pagesource"-button, you can see how this page was made. (Even the table of contents at the top is produced 'automagically'.) 

  * This wiki is divided into separate 'name spaces', or areas, for which different people can be responsible.

  * Should this wiki start to get used widely, it will be worth changing the lay-out, using 'AC-colours', and so on.
